I wish there was a firmware update to give the option for selecting a timeframe to save video from 5 sec or 10 sec prior to the motion detection. With these after the motion is detected it starts to record but by then the person or car is out of view or the camera just catches a couple frames of their backside. Other camera's Ive used before had an option that when there is motion it records video going back 5 seconds or 10 seconds prior to the motion. Everytime it records it's a day late and a dollar short. If you really want security and to see an emergency, this is not going to meet that need. If you just want to see what your dog is doing durign the day, great camera. Instaling the cameras is very easy, great job there. Setting up the Email forward is very easy as well, thumbs up for that. But the actual use for them seems like they didnt focus much on the functionality aspects of the true purpose of the camers.

The software is easy to install and linking the cams is pretty simple. Reolink got so much right that other home cam companies have failed at in the past. I have two Argus 2 Solar Powered outdoor cams and one POE Dome cam. The few tiems it will record when you need it to, the playback fails. It works for viewing, recording, and administering Reolink cameras, and it’s free. Combined with the 1) complaint above, that means you are always N-1 feeds on a second monitor. The only way to recover the feed you were watching is to quit & restart the app. There’s a bug when dragging a window with live video between monitors.

In the future I think that reolink should have a cloud so people to be able to see videos of previous days without the fear that burglars have broken down the NVR System. I was blind, I never thought that so many dogs visit my backyard and sleep on my car and scratch it(-_-).

The setup of the camera was PLUG AND PLAY within seconds! About the app, I am happy too! To be honest I have iPhone and I was scared by the fact that apps with ip works better with less secure softwares like android devices but that isn’t true! When you launch reolink app the live view cam comes up! I love the fact that every morning I can check what happened last night.
I never expected a CCTV Camera could have such a great lens and so crystal image & video quality!!! The motion detection function, if is set up the right way, it works perfectly with almost a zero number of “false alarms-recordings”. If you don’t try it, you really can’t realize how GREAT is that camera (I also have Argus camera, another wireless god). Battery-powered cameras cannot support 24/7 recording. 24/7 recording is ideal in high-traffic areas like store entrances, while in lower activity regions like warehouses or at night, motion-triggered recording can help you save storage space. A month now I have bought the WiFi camera RLC-422W. Reolink camera can be set to record in different mode at different times.
